Why girls-only?

A space where girls take every key role

Lots of girls stop playing sport in their teens. Our girls-only team showed us how much difference the right environment makes, so we built a whole club around it. Here's why it works.

1

More girls keep playing

Without the fear of judgement, girls stick with sport through their teens.

2

Confidence to try

Girls are more willing to try new skills, make mistakes and speak up.

3

Coaching built for girls

Sessions designed around girls' development, motivations and physical needs.

4

Comfort and belonging

Girls build real friendships and team spirit.

5

More ball, more say

In mixed sessions, boys can often dominate. Here, girls play in each position and learn the game as a whole.

6

Role models

We grow female coaches, referees and captains for younger players to look up to.

7

Peace of mind for families

A safe, private, girls-only setting, including for families where mixed sport may be a cultural or faith barrier.

8

Everyone welcome

All players are welcome to come along, including those who currently play contact rugby and those who want to learn the non-contact game.
